Goodbye dead skin and peach fuzz! Hello glowing skin! A package of treatments is recommended. Home skincare products are also essential to ensure optimal results. Healthy skin will respond better to treatments and your results will last longer.
What is dermaplaning? How is it done?
Dermaplaning is an exfoliation treatment that uses a medical grade sterile surgical scalpel to gently but effectively exfoliate the skin. It targets both dead skins cells, as well as peach fuzz (vellus hairs) from the face. Sometimes dermaplaning is done dry but it also can be performed using a non-comedogenic (non-pore clogging), hydrating oil. Dermaplaning has little to no downtime.
Does dermaplaning hurt?
It is not a painful treatment. Most clients find this treatment very relaxing.
What are the benefits of dermaplaning?
There are so many benefits that dermaplaning has. They include:
-improved skin texture, softer, smoother skin
-makeup goes on smoother
-products are better absorbed into the skin
-can help to reduce appearance of brown spots and skin tone
-gets rid of peach fuzz
-gives you glowy, rejuvenated skin!
Will dermaplaning make my hair grow back darker and thicker?
This is a complete myth! This treatment does not change or alter your hair follicles and it will not influence the rate at which your hair grows. It is physiologically impossible for the hair to grow back darker and thicker because of dermaplaning.

Can't I just do dermaplaning at home with a razor or tool I got online?
In-studio professional dermaplaning is extremely different than using a facial razor tool at home. Facial razors main purpose is only for hair removal. These tools have a guard for safety and only remove hair on the surface of the skin. Professional dermaplaning blades main purpose is to exfoliate. The blade is sterile, extremely sharp and removes 2-3 weeks of dead skin cells and peach fuzz (vellus hairs), resulting in brighter, smoother, glowing skin. This treatment is best left to a trained professional who is comfortable using an ultra-sharp blade to navigate the tricky contours of your face. Nicks, breakouts, ingrown hairs, and other injuries are just a few of things that could develop if at-home dermaplaning goes awry.
Who is it for?
Dermaplaning is for all skin types, except those individuals who who have active acne, cystic acne, or extremely oily skin.
How often can I get dermaplaning done?
You can have dermaplaning done every 4 to 6 weeks. Coming for regular treatments is recommended for the best results.
